Yes. The AP588C is a dual mode radio: it runs 4G LTE push-to-talk over the REALPTT platform and also operates as a conventional 5W analog two-way radio. Users switch modes from the keypad, and the two modes can be used on the same shift.
Both versions are available. Order the UHF version to work with an existing UHF fleet, or the VHF version for VHF-based operations. Tell us your current channel plan and we will supply the matching version pre-programmed.
The North America / Australia version supports LTE B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B28/B66; the Europe / Southeast Asia version supports FDD B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28 and TDD B38/B40/B41, with WCDMA and GSM fallback.
The AP588C ships with REALPTT support as standard, giving group calls, private calls, GPS location and SOS alerts from the platform. If your fleet runs on a different PoC platform, contact us with the platform name and we will confirm compatibility for your order.
The AP588C is rated IP66, which means it is fully dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets. It is suitable for outdoor patrols and rain, but is not designed for immersion.
